I think the fact that the NPC is allowing DZ to colonize shows theres no bad chemistry already between the chapters already on campus. When my DZ recolonized here we were welcomed with loving arms on campus - it meant less awesome and fun girls would have to get cut and more people have the opportunity to go greek - which is ultimately our goal - spread some NPC (and DZ in my case) love! When we came to campus - we held recruitment after all of the other chapters held theri formal recruitment, like 2 weeks after i believe. When visiting the houses, the women rushing stopped at ours and met national/regional expansion advisors who informed them that a new chapter was coming and gave them some info on DZ - but they didn't rush them. Then 2 weeks later, women from another Delta Zeta chapter (in my case Iowa State) came and held recruitment - everyone who did not end up in a house after formal reqruitment and anyone who wanted to join a sorority were welcomed. The ISU DZ girls just talked to them, got to know them and shared a piece of what our sisterhood is about. They did skits and sang songs too

Then every PNM signed up for a one -on-one interview with the national or regional advisors (i was extremely nervous for this

but meeting her totally confirmed for me that i wanted to be a DZ) they asked us questions, got to know us, and in the end determined if we would have the leadership and friendship skills necessary to form and recruit for a new chapter. Hope that helps!
