I think they give them the day of when the girls are all ready to go to the parties. I think the idea is that if you are invited back, you are much more likely to go rather than if you got them the night before, had a chance to dwell about who cut you, and had time to withdraw. If you are dressed and ready, you might just keep going to the parties.
