Macy's is having a sale on their summer dresses right now (some up to 75% off). At my local Macy's there were TONS of cute printed or solid colored dresses that would be ideal for recruitment. Actually, as I was buying my dress (for a late summer wedding, emerald green CK A-line) I was thinking how appropriate it would be for formal recruitment at many schools.
There were also plenty of darker colored and black dresses there. Check

FWIW, the dress I bought was originally $169.00 and I got it for $70.40 including tax.
