If you do join, don't be afraid to go to a party and be the lone sober one. I got all my drinking done before I was 21 and went to many a party as the designated driver. Just think that you'll be the only one who knows what REALLY happened when everyone's drunk asses are trying to recollect their foggy memory.

It's not helpful unless you're going to a non-commuter campus. No offense girls but every piece of info you gave is useless.

My experience at a commuter campus (in the same area) was that it kinda sucked without a house. But the perks are huge... dues are WAY cheaper than those with a house!

Get involved. It'll make your experience feel more like going to college rather than high school all over again. Are you living in the dorms or commuting?
Hahaha, so true about being the DD. I'm sure it could make for an interesting night just WATCHING everyone else, . I'm going to be commuting... I know that I'm probably missing out on a huge chunk of the experience, but my scholarship covers full-tuition and I was too weary about taking out a loan just for housing when the commute isn't bad. I figure the money could be better used elsewhere... Hope I wasn't too wrong!
