If you want to have a guarrentee that you will get a bid, you won't. Even a beautiful, MENSA level intellect who has an amazing resume is not guarenteed a bid. If you want to join a sorority or hell a fraternity for that matter, just go for it. IMO it's better to try and not get a bid then to never have tried and regret it for the rest of your life.

First off I would like to say most of the people who have posted here are sorority woman. The two fraternity men that did gave the same piece of advise. Just go for it, because it won't hurt you. And since I have a feeling you were referring to me, I will say this. I would say the same to anybody, male or female who wants to know their chances to get a bid. I myself rushed three times before getting a bid to the place I now consider my second family. If somebody told me, "oh your a junior and wouldn't have a good chance." and I listened, I wouldn't be proud to wear the Garnet and Gold of Psi Upsilon, and know that I am part of something much bigger then myself.
PS I read all the thread on this site for a simple reason. I like to learn, especially about greek life. I have learned more on this site about sorority recruitment here then my years at school. And also if I shouldn't be in the thread, then why isn't that prevented. Trust me in that it's not difficult to create user groups to hide forums from certain groups of members.
