I won't even go through my whole schpiel about how much I loved the movie even though I was totally distracted by how many things were left out--too tired, I'll do it later, but I can answer this question right quick. (I think you literally did want to know? If not, well then I'm explaining it for the other people who didn't read the books.

"Half-Blood Prince" is the nickname Snape gave to himself while in school. His mother, Eileen Prince was a witch and his father was a Muggle (no magical blood). As far as wizarding genes goes, he's only a half-blood, thanks to the Prince side of the family.
But I did wonder (and I may have said this before, I'm sleepy, I can't remember)...who noticed that Lavender was a black girl three movies ago? I caught the change immediately (and confirmed it through Wiki), but I'm not sure if anyone else was looking that closely.
