Michael I completely agree. Also make sure your chapter is even listed. I've seen a few chapters that aren't even on the national list (maybe the national list doesn't show inactive chapters).

If the chapter is on the list and they don't have the most up to day website, just email the webmaster.
If the chapter isn't on the list, let me know, I'd love to research it. (Always nice when the Director of Chapter Services greets your phone calls with "now what?"
