This is a big misconception. Being secretive and being discrete are two different things. When you are being secretive, you're trying not to say anything to anyone but when you are being discrete, you are careful about what you say and to whom you say it. You came here to get an answer to a question (which anyone in this forum can answer) and you say things that are likely to offend whether you meant to or not. Re-read your thoughts and you'll see how members might take it. You can be discrete by not providing so many details. Also, when you are new to an online community you need to observe first before jumping in and posting. If you do a search, you'll find that many questions like yours don't get answered. Keep in mind that no one is obligated to answer your questions; we come here to chat with one another (members of GLOs that is).
You could have simply stated that you were interested in XYZ sorority based on stereotypes and now you are interested in ABC sorority but everyone knows that you were first interested in XYZ sorority. What are your chances... You could insert any org and it would still be the same.
