The older I get the less I see a reason for marriage that isn't legal or religious. I can love someone without marrying them, but I have to marry them (in most cases) for health insurance and other economic benefits. My faith is pretty open so I could "live in sin" and attend services, even though certain members brand me a hussy.
I think back to when I was 16 and I am trying to figure out all the things that prevented me from being in the same situation as the kids on this show, that is still preventing me from being the legal adult version of these kids. I knew my parents would love me and support me, but at the moment I can't think of any other phrase but
ruining my life.
