Okay, I have said this before. This is why you do not suicide! I am all for you going through informal recruitment though (COB). If anyone is intent upon a certain sorority and wouldn't be happy anywhere else, it is better to do informal since you can pick and choose houses to go to. Of course, the stronger houses don't always have COB on all campuses (however on my campus and many others, even the strongest sororities always do informal and formal since people are graduating during both semesters, leaving open spots). Long story short, COB might just be the solution for you! I hope things work out. Just be yourself and make friends. That's my best advice.
