A Doctor who is a friend of the family saw my sister in church one day with a really bad sunburn, stopped her, and told her to take 2 aspirin and 2 benadryl to stop the reaction (if it turns into sun poisining it is soooo much worse - trust me).
I have also found that there is this spray called Dermaplast???? It is in a white can with a blue top - the can says hospital strength. Anyway it is like an antiseptic (sp), but it nums you and you don't itch anymore
you can get it at Wal-Mart and other pharmacy type places...
