Many people who are interested in NPHC relations or active in NPHC chapters (at the graduate level) use "frat(er)" or "soror" to refer to any NPHCer. This often happens at NPHC functions.
I don't do it, but it doesn't offend me.

What I say depends on how I'm feeling. Never "soror," though.
