THANKS!! Viva Fiesta to you too!
Did Oyster Bake on saturday. (Went looking for SATXAPhi at her booth, but missed her) Nothing like spending the saturday with 65,000 of your fellow townies. Watched the Texas Cavaliers river parade on TV - didnt feel like fighting my way downtown (for those not in the know - a parade where the floats actually float.) Thursday will be NIOSA - College Nite - yeah! Then friday is Battle of Flowers. Definately will be there. A friend works for KLRN, so we have great seats on the route, and a free catered meal. hells yeah. I have never been to the Flambeu parade, but do dig some fiesta. Of course have to deal with the chicks getting into the royalty gowns. "show me your shoes" lol. (I bet this sounds insane to those who have never been to Fiesta.- basically for the last 110 years the town has shut down for a week to drink and commerate texas independence)
BTW - did you see the ladies from the conservation society on Good Morning America this AM? They were talking to the weatherman dude. Busted a stage crew guy with a cascaron. hahah. You know you are from the Alamo city if you feel the breaking of egg shells on your head and your instant reaction is to cover your beer to keep the confetti out.
