I get told that I can't really be Swedish because I don't have blue eyes or blond hair! (Really? Have you ever met a Swedish person?)

Ethnic Scandinavians are also known for being redheads, even though most attribute it to Scottish and the Irish, when in actuality it was introduced to the British Isles by Norse invaders and settlers. Scandinavians are also mistaken for always being tall, which is not traditional in the genetic makeup. The native Scandinavians (The Sami, formerly called Laplanders) are an excellent example of this. Though with people traveling and moving more, the genetic markers are fading.
