Oh, I'm not! I'm not going around spending frivolously right now. However, I'm not exactly in health care, I'm in health care research. The stimulus package just dumped huge amounts of money into health research and we have grants coming in like crazy right now. Our overall health system is not doing as well, but research is thriving. We've had pay freezes, increased costs of benefits, loss of vacation days, etc. So those effects are felt, but my particular job is quite secure. I am still acutely aware too that my property values have dropped so much that my mortgage is upside down now. I can only hope that I can reverse that again by the time I need to sell it, which is several years away still.
