At Iowa State, the cold air is really common, and most of the houses here have cold air sleeping arrangement. Our house has one as well, and I love it! Especially in the winter time, it is extremely cold (Iowa ...), but once you cuddle up under your blankets (I have one sleeping bag and two blankets), you feel like really protected and safe.
