Good luck on the 10K!
I think I had gained about 15 or 20 pounds since we saw each other at Convention and Christmas, but I'm honestly not sure at this point what my weight was last year at this time, but I'm hoping to get another 5-10 off before our trip! Of course, I was originally thinking I'd lose that before I saw *him* but after our little spontaneous rendezvous last weekend, that didn't happen. However, sister, YOU are my inspiration. It didn't even really start out as a goal to lose weight, but to eat more healthy and work out regularly. Now that the weight is just falling off, it's hard not to think about weight loss goals. By next Convention though, I'm hoping nobody will recognize me

The last time I lost this much weight, it was because I was very sick from the Crohn's (before it was diagnosed) and I lost a lot of muscle and bone density. THIS time, it's all because I'm healthy and it feels so different. I'm seeing real muscle definition and have so much more energy already. Ideally, I think I'd want to lose 60-70 more pounds. However, I'm just going to keep working out and eating the way I have been and see what happens. It's extremely difficult when you can't eat vegetables and the fruits and grains you can eat are limited. High protein/low carb is working well for me though!
Also, it has inspired my daughter to lose weight. She doesn't want me to weigh less than her, so we're kind of in a healthy competition with it. That also keeps me going because I want to inspire her too. She is doing Wii Fit and her dad is paying her $5 per pound lost up to $200!
ETA: I have always felt a little twinge of guilt during the part of the Purpose that says "To develop and prize health and vigor of body", so I'm hoping that I'll never have to feel guilty during that part again!
