My dermatologist once told me to take asprin while recovering from a sunburn, as it helps bolster your weakened immune system. Apparently your body has to work hard to repair your skin, and in doing so your immune system is weakened. who knew?
What sucks is that reseachers say that just one or two really bad sunburns can dramatically increase your chances of skin cancer later in life. I wish I knew that when I was younger, because I had a bunch of bad sunburns when I was a kid.
