Our chapter currently is going through two girls affiliating so I know first hand that for Tri Delta nationals you have to wait a semester and then the chapter votes on whether to have you affiliate. It sounds harsh, but if you don't get it you can go alum I think, I allows for mutual selection also. Give them a chance they are you sister for some reason and don't always believe reputation they are so often false one way or another.
