^^^ at the end of the day, you're going to join a chapter that you feel like "yourself." Which could be any org. It sounds like you're willing to keep your options open. You should. And if its all meant to be, the chapter members will feel like they can be "themselves," in the case of this thread, not tiptoe around the race issue.
