Hey queequek!
Baird's Manual of American College Fraternities is a giant reference book. In includes information on
every national GLO in America, even those that are no longer in existence. And from all conferences (i.e. NPC, IFC, NPHC, etc.) I don't recall if there are any locals listed in it or not. It has pictures of the crest, history and general info on
all of them. It's been around for a long time and gets updated every 10-15 years or so. I would venture to say it's the most comprehensive (and positive) resource for GLOs in America.
It also has general history of the establishment of the greek system. I haven't read through all of it, but it's interesting.
Most libraries have an edition of it that you can browse... you will learn a
lot!
