It passed in Michigan too and we're a pretty blue state. Out state (not metro-Detroit) is really red, but this passed by far more than other margins and during a gubernatorial election where we re-elected the female Democrat. This bias against homosexuality is far deeper than party lines. Nonetheless, I'm glad Iowa made some inroads.
