We don't live in la-la-land so someone talking about what "should" is unrealistic and dishonest, in most settings. We all know about "should."

Not true. My parents did not have an issue with the way my siblings and I dressed. We wore the popular 80s and 90s hip hop trends. However, the hookers and thugs themes never resonated with us so we didn't partake in them.

We aren't simply typing about styles of dress and whether people find them pleasing to the eye. It has already been established that we aren't just typing about that. We're typing about the meaning behind looking like a hoodlum and those who confuse that look with being "hip hop." Or whatever excuse otherwise good kids are using these days.
