I've had a very good friend of mine actually date 2 of my ex-girlfriends. One of those really hurt me, but the one he's dating now is one of the only 2 girls I've ever really cared for...and since I like my friend alot (obviously), and I love her...she's a great girl (I wouldn't have dated her so damn long otherwise, right?) so I'm glad for them in the legitimate reasoning that I'm happy they're together.
I've dated a friend's ex too, and that was my fault...I wish I hadn't, but it didn't break our friendship....I hope your friendships are stronger than interests in those of the opposite sex. I know that's easier said than done, but it's not really. I've done it.
It's been my fortune to never dislike an exgirlfriend....I'm great friends with ALL of my ex's, and so I'd prefer a friend of mine who I know would treat that girl right to date her as opposed to some fuck that could turn out to be a real bad boyfriend to her, be it jerk-ishness, or abusiveness.
