I hate it when people campaign for the position of sweetheart. Its not something you can apply for nor is it something you should have to earn. Its an honor bestowed on a woman who has become a friend to the members of a chapter. FWIW, back in the day I was not even CONSIDERED for sweetheart EVEN THOUGH IHQ though enough of my efforts on behalf of the then-colony to have their International President present me with a badge replica necklace. Nope, I was told I could not be sweetheart because I didn't sleep with the members (I replied that I was married to the president, but apparently that wasn't enough
). Once I figured out what kind of "dreams" they wanted a "girl of", I had a completely different view of ALL their sweethearts.
