What would lead you to believe that a high profile entertainer would deliberately "steal" a handsign from BGLO's? What would they have to gain from that?
I don't think the point that is being made is a "deliberate" stealing of a sign, because being high profile doesn't exempt anyone from doing anything, given the kind of world we live it. What would they gain if they did?...in monetary terms, which is how the world usually judges worth...nothing. The point that I see is BGLO's and the entertainment industry operate on two separate planes. What is important to one is not important to the other, and vesa versa. It is not a matter of doing homework, it is a matter of fact. Handsigns are important to most Greeks, because it is another way of identification...just like the colors. REIKI, I don't completely understand your statement about BGLO's needing to do their homework so I won't comment on it because I don't want to misquote your meaning...(enlighten me if possible) I do know that handsigns are fairly new for most BGLO's, and in my opinion the entertainment industry is mirroring how gangs do it....these handsigns didn't get popular in the music industry until all these gang bangers became rappers, and alot of people equate Sororities and Fraternaties as being glorified gangs....so maybe we should be asking ourselves what type of image or example are giving....not who is using who's handsign.
