Hello, everyone!
I'm Danetha from the Epsilon Pi chapter at Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC!
I went through formal recruitment during my Freshman year. I had my heart set on another organization at the school, yet the only bid I received was from Sigma. I talked to some friends and a guest adviser we had on campus and decided to accept my Sigma bid, even though I still wasn't 100% sure it was where I wanted to be. Anyway, I was really struggling with my decision and I finally chose to drop out of Sigma. After one more failed attempt at formal recruitment, I was asked back to a open recruitment (am I using the right term here?) in the spring of my Sophomore year. After all of that time, I knew that Sigma was where I was supposed to be and I gladly accepted my bid. I was initiated in September of 2002
During my time in Sigma, I was the chapter's Treasurer for one and a half years (until my graduation). I have to say that I truly enjoyed the time I spent in my leadership role and as a sister of my fabulous chapter. We've come a long way since 2000 and Epsilon Pi continues to get stronger every year. I'm so proud to be a Sigma!
