Fraternal Brotherhood book
This is interesting. I was unaware of Greek activity in high schools until my Section Chair (Alpha Phi Omega) at the time I learned this who attended my high school 5 years ahead of me told me that the Z Club was almost like a sorority. I believe it was one of a few or the only single-sex de jure organizations that was not sports. In looking it up, I learned that the Z Club arose when the Key Club (not apparently at my high school, but elsewhere) would not admit girls. The Key Club is the high school arm of Kiwanis, which is a service organization for adults which also has Circle K for colleges.
