There's an interesting case in Oklahoma right now where a gay couple was granted a divorce on the divorce waiver docket (where only one person shows up and presents an agreed decree). After the newly-single couple or someone held a press conference, the judge vacated the divorce, the thing is now somewhere in the appellate process. I'm pretty sure they'll lose, at least at the state level. There are some interesting federal issues though now that this couple, unlike someone who just wants to get married and doesn't have a legal vehicle to accomplish that in Oklahoma might use to get into federal court.
