Oooh soror, you are BETTER THAN ME. I could barely sit through the HBO movie "The Middle Passage", much less imagine being a slave on one of those ships.
The movie was HORRIFIC, especially when they showed the children (I had totally blocked out the fact that they took children). As I watched, I was sitting there thinking, "I never would have made it", but actually, I am a strong individual who perseveres, and I have a strong "constitution" (I very rarely get sick, and have never been in the hospital) so I probably could have made it physically, but MENTALLY, phew...
