I'm on board with "it sucks." And mine does the same thing with installing, or
trying to install, my printer repeatedly. It doesn't fully recognize it. I can only use the scanner by scanning to a flash drive then moving it over to the computer. Ridiculous! Internet Explorer stops and restarts several times a day. It's a bit better since I had a techie look at it but it still sucks.
n.b. - I'm starting to blame a lot of it on HP. Every HP product I've had has turned to crap.
