I think the outfit with the colors should be fine. With 8 chapters you can hardly avoid wearing SOMEONE'S colors.

As for your pref dress...if I were you and you live the black one you have, wear it..but pair it with something like a hot pink pair of heels and a necklace and earrings to match. You will look fashionable and stand out!
