I'm on dialysis and it's always freezing in the clinics. Dialysis patients tend to feel colder, too, because of the use of Coumadin/Heparin (blood thinners) and wear layers of clothing and blankets during treatment, even on the hottest summer days. I can see how the Snuggie could be useful, particularly for people who have an access in their arm. Not a consideration for everyone, I know, but if you're going through a treatment like that, you don't care if you look like a dork or a monk.
