Well, in the case I mentioned, the father's name was Ryan, so they "just added the 'a'". No wonder the judge gave the grandmother custody!
And you're right - Campbell is Scots.
I just realized that one of the names I've seen & liked is Arianna - thinking opera. I'll bet many people would think it's a white supremist thing.
