But it reminds me of an "alternate ending" someone drew for the end of Calvin & Hobbes (one of my all-time favorites) that I also found too "real" to be enjoyable -- it showed Calvin working on some homework and Hobbes sitting next to him saying something like "wow, you're really focused on your homework" and Calvin says "yeah, I guess the medication's working, like Mom says" and then the last frame is Calvin still just working on his paper and the stuffed tiger sitting next to him -- so he doesn't "exist" even in Calvin's world anymore.
