nah, I'm cool with my crimson and cream...
I do not feel that there is any need to start switching colors and acting as if I was a member of XYZ organization when I know dag on well that I am a member of DELTA SIGMA THETA SORORITY, INC. and have wanted to be since I was 5. It's not all about the COLORS, shoot bloods and crypts wear colors!!! It's about the sisterhood, service and scholarship principles that DST was built on that make me so proud. If your not a DELTA i don't want you in my colors actin' like you are. I would think members of other BGLOs feel the same way!
In terms of greek unity, my best-friend who I have know since high school, before either one of us entered college (we went to the same college too) is an AKA. I love her to death. We use to say we where twins growing up, but she choose AKA and I choose DST, our friendship is just as strong. That's greek unity. I would never disrespect her by putting on her colors and going out there acting like i was in her organization. Besides based on those stereotype she should have been a Delta, lol! She's a dark skinned sister, always in braids and she's a rocket scientist for pete's sake!
Anywho... as stated in previous post, this type of event will not build unity, it will cause disharmony in my opinion. And disharmony between GBLOs will futher tarnish the image of black greeks in the community.
I say do some public service event together, throw a party together or something of that nature.
