I'll be a junior next fall, and being a part of my fraternity for this past year as been an incredible growing experience. I never thought I would be able to do the things I am doing now. In high school, I wasn't in many clubs or organizations, and I had never held any sort of leadership position. But after joining Delta Upsilon, I ran and was elected VP of Public Relations only a few weeks after being initiated. I'm also planning on running for President next year, so the fact that I have matured so much and have become more self confident is a great feeling for me. I think there was some potential in me to do good things, and joining a fraternity opened a door and allowed me to do what I'm doing now. Being involved with DU is something I never want to stop doing, even after I've graduated and have other responsibilities. If your fraternity experience treats you well while you're in college, I think it is only your duty to continue giving back as an alumnus.
