One more thing I wanted to add....if a woman does not know you that well, she might be uncomfortable writing a full fledged Recommendation.
Therefore, if you ask people, give them the option of a "Letter of Introduction"...ask them "Would you be willing to write a Recommendation for me
or a Letter of Introduction?"...that way, you're giving them flexibility and they won't feel as put on the spot!
