Day Six-Bid Day
If we didn’t get a bid, our Rush Counselor would come get us by 9 a.m. 9:00 came and went, and Joanie and I were still waiting. At 10:00 we were supposed to come into the lobby. A funny story before the big reveal. The other reveal was that my rush counselor was a November. When I met my rush counselor the first day, she reminded me so much of OSF#2. In fact the first thing I did was ask her if she knew OSF#2. She said no, but that wasn’t true. She later said she was so shocked by question she couldn’t answer, because not only was OSF#2 a fellow November, but was even her pledge mom (at MWU, we had moms/dots not big/littles).
So on to my bid. I slowly opened it, and it said you have been invited to be a member of….

January!!!!
And it is rather fitting since January 27, 1870, was the founding of my new home…..

KAPPA ALPHA THETA!
Theta has been a big part of my life every since. And it brought about to so many of the great blessings in my life. It’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. My rush roommie Joanie, joined her sister at October. We remained friends throughout college, and celebrated together three years later when we each elected our chapter's president.
