Um, don maclean has said many times that this song doesn't hold a lot of meaning in the ways people connect it - he enjoys conjecture. Billy, I think you get a lot of the included metaphor, but this song was his "yellow submarine" - it was meant to stir the ish so to speak, and not to change the world.
