So here's the newest gossip from my school...Alpha Psi (local org on campus) has deciced to invite Alpha Phi and Kappa Kappa Gamma to campus. Those are both great organizations, but it makes me nervous because neither of those organizations have sent any information to my school or expressed interest in Alpha Psi from what I know. So if they don't show up, and Alpha Psi still wants to go national, they're basically going to be competition for the two organizations that we're inviting to campus. It's a little disconcerning. But, we've decided, after careful thought regarding alumni and collegiate chapters, creeds, purposes, missions, goals, traditions, founding principles, etc etc etc, to invite back these two groups: Alpha Xi Delta and Sigma Sigma Sigma! I'm very excited, those were my top two picks out of the organizations that sent info to UCSC, and hopefully things will work out! I will of course keep you posted...I'm also excited because tonight we made huge posters to put up at the bookstore, and a couple others for some of the dining halls on campus. And, we got a call from Alpha Psi to do some sort of event with them, and we have rush (recruitment, sorry) events planned with Pi Alpha Phi (one of the Asian interest frats on campus) and Delta Omega Chi (local multicultural frat). Also, Theta Chi (the only inter/national frat on campus) called us last night and we're planning a social with them, and tomorrow we're going to set up an information table with them to raise interest for NBO and Theta Chi! Very exciting huh? Tonight was really productive and we had alot of fun also...it was nice, just us having fun as sisters and not stressing about political crap. Nights like this one remind me that we are indeed a great group of women, who all love eachother, sometimes we just get so caught up in the details I guess. I'm in a good mood, in case you can't tell! Oh, and as for AXO...I'm actually sort of partial to them myself, but we've decided it would be best to go with organizations that have already expressed interest in UCSC. We just think it would be a little more of a possible sure thing. But thank you for considering us worthy of being your sisters AXWhoah! Ok, more later...please feel free to comment!
