My experience was the enormity of the paperwork. As you are working on recruitment, you surely want to get to know the PNM. But having 10 recs saying the same thing only becomes frustrating. You don't get to know her better with every subsequent rec.
Now, I haven't looked at other rec forms in a while, but ours spells out (not verbatim) "Greeks in your family". If you listed the 6 KDs (your example), we get the picture. PNM is a super-legacy. But, we don't need tons of recs telling us that.
Just thinking back 25 years ago, we did refer to one girl as "PNM-overkill". I don't really know if it was her fault, but everyone knew who she was. I can't remember too many details, but I think it hurt her when voting came around
