My school doesn't have recruitment until September, so we didn't even start workshops until the beginning of August. By that time, the last summer session here is over and people are done with internships.
As far as work schedules, we got the recruitment workshop dates & actual recruitment dates in May, which gave girls about 4 months to request those days off. So work wasn't considered an excuse because we were given ample time to plan our schedules around sorority stuff.
