Back before eBay banned the practice, I admit I sold my used underwear sometimes. It was clean and I did not put up pictures of myself or anything, but I did the whole "frat boy used boxers" routine in the description.
Hey, if someone wanted to give me $40-50 bucks for some old underwear I paid $8 for new, I figured more power to them. And being in college at the time, that was good money. Braver (or more disgusting) souls would sometimes sell used underwear with skidmarks (yes photos and all!) or post suggestive photos of their midsections with the underwear on- and they could get into the low $100s per pair. But it was those auctions that led eBay to quickly shut down used underwear sales.
But at least with eBay back then (before your address was made available by eBay to buyers) there was a certain anonymity to it. I think I would be pretty freaked out if someone approached me on the street and asked to buy my underwear (meaning I would say hell no.) And if someone did that to my sister or any of my lady friends- I would be pretty pissed.
