We all have reached a pretty stable mental state and have realized she would be happier if she was not on Earth anymore. My brother and I have realized she is not the person that we knew and loved. My mother was never close to her. My father is having a difficult time, but that is another story.
Thank you for all your thoughts. We are currently waiting for the end which can come at any moment.
TrideltaSallie, I understand how you feel. I was named after my grandmother and she cannot remember my name, even on the days she remembers me.
Thank you all for your thoughts.

My Gram had the onset but never fully developed the disease as, unfortunately (or maybe not) a stroke took her from us before she got that bad. But - it is rough. I remember the first time she knew I was related to her but couldn't remember how or my name - she told her dog that I was her neice. (Her neices are all into their late 50s by now - I'm 24).
You've got support in members of GC, both for your recruitment and for you grandmother. You also may soon have support from sisters. When my mom passed, at least 10 or 15 of them stopped whatever they were doing and came to my hometown for the services. Nothing they had ever done, since I joined, ever meant so much to me.
