YOU ARE SOOOOOOOOOO RIGHT! He is by far my favorite actor. The only person who has equal acting ability is Robert DeNiro. Samuel L should have had an OSCAR for PULP FICTION, NEGOTIATOR, maybe a supporting actor on A TIME TO KILL (Hell Cuba Gooding got one for Jerry Maguire
), Jungle Fever, etc...
I guess Samuel is not mainstream enough to get one. I was rather shocked that Denzel got it. I thought Will Smith was going to get it, even though Denzel acted the best. It's a shame that the Academy gave him an award for portraying a THUG, RENEGADE, and CROOKED cop, but he kouldn't get one for MALCOLM X. Maybe that's what Denzel meant by two birds in one night. Black actors probably won't get another OSCAR for 30+ years.
Don Cheatle deserved an award for ROSEWOOD and DEVIL AND A BLUE DRESS.
ED NORTON deserved an award for AMERICAN HISTORY X.
Matt Damon deserved an award for GOOD WILL HUNTING.
DeNiro definitely deserves one for RAGING BULL, HEAT, DEER HUNTER, GOODFELLAS, etc...!
