As I've said a million times before, it usually is not expressly written out like that - i.e. "don't drink in letters" - but it says something along the lines of the members shall comport themselves in a dignified manner. The only thing our national bylaws say is that you can't use the letters in conjunction w/ alcohol - i.e. you can't have ASA on the front of a t-shirt and sponsored by Coors Light on the back. The rest is up for interpretation.

Re your question - hell, some chapters don't allow you to smoke or drink (without wearing letters) unless you're sitting down.

Mods, can we PLEASE move these last 4 posts into one of the zillion drinking in letters threads so the original post isn't derailed?
