onehundone, unless you know that ADPi has a NATIONALLY WRITTEN policy saying women cannot drink or smoke in letters, it would behoove you to preface your comments with "in my chapter." And if you find drinking or smoking "disrespectful" to yourself, you should not do them at all, regardless of whether you have letters on. (PS: Smoking is legal in the US for all those 18 and older, which covers 99% of college students.)
My guess is that the OP and her fellow alums don't want anything they do to come back on the collegiate chapter which is very considerate - which is why she specifically said she DOESN'T want anything with letters.
