Most Underrated Cities

What cities in the United States do you think are underrated?

I think Shreveport/Bossier City, LA is underrated. I never hear anyone talk about the city. I've been there several times, but in the outskirts. I went down there again over the weekend. I didn't do much because I was there with my family for a funeral, and we were only there for a total of 24 hours...but I SAW a lot when we went sight-seeing! Downtown rocks. It looked like a mini Vegas and mini New Orleans.

It was a way more progressive city than I expected. I thought I would see nothing but churches, creeks, pine trees, and confederate flags. Instead I saw big casinos, casinos everywhere period (one was attached to a gas station), titty bars that weren't raggedy, several gay bars, bars that stay open until 6am, a REALLY nice riverfront, hugest Bass Pro Shop I've ever seen, and we ate dinner at a good barbecue place (as good as KC's and Memphis' bbq). Psychics had their own buildings, up here you can only contact them by phone or at outdoor fairs. I'm not into that stuff, but I found it neat.

I wouldn't want to live there, or anything, but it's a nice place to visit or swing by if you're traveling somewhere else.
