game in July. When the national anthem is being sung, Howard says, " 'The Star-Spangled Banner' is going on. I don't celebrate this [s***]. I'm black."
It didn't take long for Obama enemy number one,
Rush Limbaugh, to jump in and use it as fodder on his
radio show yesterday, according to Eurweb.com.
"You heard it, Obama '08. So here's an Obama supporter, another one, in addition to Reverend Jeremiah Wright saying God bleep America," Limbaugh told his audience. "This man has become wealthy in this country, Josh Howard has. And, by the way, it's not just black athletes. There are certain black singers who are refusing to sing the national anthem at black events. They're singing the [black] national anthem, whatever that is."

All these so called "Patriots" and "real Americans" who are running around talking about how great America is because Howard can even make the comment and how soldiers are dying so he can say what he wants are getting on my dayum nerves.
If I have freedom of speech let me use it. Do not try to crucify me when I say that I could care less about the Star Spangled Banner and that I happily stand and sing along to the Negro National Anthem ("whatever that is") with my fist in the air. And don't get mad because I do not say or respect your pledge. I am American and as such I have a right to NOT say or do whatever I want.
And please don't get it twisted soldiers are not dying so that I have freedom of speech. They are dying because we have a government that is run by an idiot who believes it is his destiny to control the world.
And one more thing...Why is what some random athlete says all of a sudden political news?
